Patrick defends high exposure matters for self-insureds, insureds of various insurance companies and municipalities. His clients are often property owners, tenants, maintenance companies, vehicle owners and operators, and construction companies in various different trades and capacities such as general contractors, construction managers, sub-contractors and sub-sub-contractors. He defends cases by working tirelessly with his clients to create a practical strategy and plan for the litigation that meets the desires of his clients. These strategies are crafted to reflect the realities of the ever-changing litigation landscape. Paramount for Patrick’s clients are risk transfer and efficient resolution of claims, two things Patrick cares deeply about when representing his clients and strives to satisfy both whenever possible. He has spent his entire career in the insurance defense field and has built a reputation of trust with his colleagues, adversaries and clients. Those who have had cases with Patrick would agree he is a hard-nosed litigator who defends his clients at every turn with passion and zeal.
Patrick is an Officer and Board Member of the Defense Association of New York (DANY). This is the largest civil defense bar organization in New York State. He is currently the Assistant Treasurer of DANY, and is a co-chair of the Budget Committee; a member of the Judicial Screening Committee; a member of the Sponsorship Committee; and a member of the Website and Technology Committee.
When not in the office, Patrick spends his free time with his wife and two children. Patrick was born and raised in Queens, New York and now resides in Suffolk County, New York. He has been active in the past in supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
